Kartik, both predictions can be true. Reengineering of processes and roles takes time, but in the short-term your job can be taken by the AI-native, who can fill your current role.
I have asked people to assume that they are more talented and proficient than the next person, but then to consider who they would hire for their current job: a) themselves with no use of AI or b) the next person who is 10% less talented and proficient without AI but has now become an AI-native using these tools to do the job faster, better, etc. Is their advantage 50% or 2x or higher?
The longer term prediction that your job as currently defined could be reengineered out of existence is also valid. In that case, the AI-native will be ready to adapt, but you will not. The advice to "follow the constraint" makes sense, while still challenging because it involves predicting AI's future capabilities. In other words, I know what AI can't do well today but is my forecast of what it still won't do well in 5 years accurate? The puck is moving fast.

Your takeaway from Sangeet’s comments, reminded me of the erstwhile Guru’s role in the gurukulam mode!

You discussed deep and important points in this episode, Kartik.
I love the System of Work concept and will explore further. Will also look for Sangeet's book.
The conversation is focused and with good resonance between the two of you.
I wait to watch the next episode.
